Meet The MOB Team

Our Team

  • Alia Bisat

    Movement Coach
    www.aliabisat.com

I began teaching yoga in 2015, but quickly became frustrated with the limitations of a single discipline. It was clear that there was infinite value in helping people become stronger and more mobile beyond the purpose of performing yoga poses, but to improve function in daily life. I developed a passion for helping make inaccessible movements more accessible, especially for those left in the margins of the fitness industry – older adults, people with pain, and the average not-so-flexible-jane and joe. My curiosity led me to continuing education with Jules Mitchell, Jenn Pilotti, Leslie Kaminoff, and Lorimer Moseley and many others, all who value a biopsychosocial approach in movement and healing. I use a one-on-one style approach that allows me to build relationships with individuals and work with various movement disciplines to help people move, feel, and therefore live better. I operate from a belief system that the body is inherently strong and infinitely adaptable.

  • Daniel Zivatovic

    Movement Teacher and Physiotherapist
    www.physicalempowerment.com

I'm a London-based movement teacher and physiotherapist with more than 15 years' experience. After working in a variety of clinical settings, I gradually transitioned into personal and online coaching. My personal practice and teachings draw on various disciplines, such as somatic practices, gymnastics, martial arts, dance and rehab. As a young man, I was not so fit and healthy, but overcame several obstacles to improve the way I move and live! My goal is to create sustainable movement habits that can serve people for as long as possible. The focus is on longevity and adaptability. Does our training and the way of moving truly serves us? How can we gracefully age? We are all unique in our physicality and it is important to acknowledge that. It is easy (and normal) to compare ourselves to others. That being said, it is important to accept that we all have our own starting point and completely different journey. It is not a race. Our bodies are homes in which we live so let’s treat them with curiosity, respect and trust.

  • Macklen Mayse

    Personal Trainer
    www.macklenmayse.com

I’m a strong believer that everyone should lift heavy things. That’s why I specialize in weight lifting and mobility.

I was born and raised in a woodland area of Kansas City. I fell in love with fitness during graduate school while making durational performance art, video art and kinetic sculpture. I compressed my body into metal sculptures, held awkward body shapes while scaling walls, and flung myself at pillars for cold hugs. It was all quite weird and fun.

My focus then morphed into learning and teaching about the body. I started as a Yoga Teacher, trained in therapy balls, became a mobility specialist and eventually a Personal Trainer. I approach the body as capable and resilient and love having fun with movement.
